If you want to study in Norwegian

All courses you apply for through the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service (NUCAS) are taught in Norwegian. In order to qualify for any of these study programmes you must:

1

Meet the general entrance requirements

The general basis for admission to universities and university colleges in Norway is called Higher Education Entrance Qualification. Read more about your general entry requirements from the country list or the GSU-list.

If you have questions you cannot find the answer to on our webpages, you can contact us at sokerinfo@samordnaopptak.no. Please do not send us any documents. If it is necessary for us to see your documents in order to help you, we will let you know.

If you do not meet the general entry requirements, you must pass some basic subjects in Norwegian upper secondary school.

Some study programmes have requirements in specific subjects from upper secondary school, in addition to the general requirements.

2

Meet the Norwegian and English language requirements

When you apply for admission you must be able to document specific levels of Norwegian and English language proficiency.

3

Meet the document requirements

You must document your education qualifications and language proficiency. Choose your country from the country list to find out what applies to you, as document requirements may vary.

If you would like to study in English

Courses taught in English are not part of the coordinated admission service provided by Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service (NUCAS). International students who would like to apply for courses taught in English can find information on studyinnorway.no.
